First responders in Putnam County from the Mahopac Falls Volunteer Fire, Mahopac Police, Carmel Police departments, and Putnam County paramedics responded to the incident that happened on Hill Street at approximately 11:35 a.m. on Tuesday, July 27.

Jack Casey, the Public Information Officer for the Mahopac Falls Volunteer Fire Department, first responders found two occupants of the BMW out of the vehicle who were being treated by paramedics.

The crash forced police to detour traffic around the crash scene to allow for first responders to work and investigate the scene.

Casey said the cause of the crash remains under investigation as of Wednesday, July 28.
